05DMAX

Hello all, this is my first post here. I ordered my 2005 crew cab short bed LLY-dmax/ZF-6 last thursday, so it should be here in september sometime. Ive been reading through the posts and there is a wealth of information here.
I have a question regarding the edge juice. I want to possibly get one for my truck when it arrives but i have not read anything about installing it with the ZF-6. Is it available for a dmax without the allison?
Also, I plan on switching to amsoil after break-in. What weight of oil should i use? This is my first diesel and ive only worked on gas engines before. It seems to be across the board that most diesel's use a 15W-40. However, I live in a climate where it gets below freezing and 15W-40 seems to thick for cold starts. I always ran 5W-30 in my gas cars and even with 10W-30, oil pressure was very slow to build in relation to 5W-30. Could I use a 10W-40 or even a 5W-30 (amsoil series 3000 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil)? I am new to diesels and just wonder about 15W-40 in cold weather. What does everyone else run in cold weather?
Thanks in advance
