I had the good fortune of being able to attend the Edge Dyno/Drag event last week on Friday and Saturday.


This was a great event with lots of fun and excitement at both the drags and dyno testing. The Edge facility is outstanding, they had both of their dyno's running testing the large number of vehicles in attendance.


On Friday at the drag strip Edge unveiled it's new drag truck. All I can say is WOW!


You have to see this truck in order to believe it! It did not make a full run but still did the quarter mile in 11 seconds flat.

Which gen does the Edge truck have in it?? I would think 24V or 3rd gen to promote Edge products?

12v I heard

12v. One of the crew members heavily involved in the design and build of the engine said they chose it because more could be done to it...

Seems silly that an ELECTRONIC diesel performance company chose a MECHANIACAL diesel as their power platform. Everyone knows what a badazz the 12V is but it just seems weird. You roll up to the races with your Edge drag truck and somebody asks "What Edge products are on this puppy to make it so fast?" with the reply "Ummmm, none". http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

A certain company has seemed to have got around the rpm govenor on the 24V '98.5-'02 engine as of recently. This has been ONE of the limiting factors in the advancement of this setup so look for some improvements!!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif It has a long way to go to catch up with the 12V on diesel only but just like the D-Max......look out, it's coming fast!

Not happy it is a Cummins, but that truck looks like it is setup to haul some serious booty someday!

For the money spent on that truck I would say that Friday was kind of embarrassing for the edge boys. And what is the big secret about on this truck - I thought edge was about helping people make power not hiding in a little red tent.

The Edge Truck is far from being 'dialed' in....the truck hit the track for the 1st time less than 2 weeks before the event....once dialed in....this truck is gonna scream...
