I had it off again for the 5th time at least on this truck. Thought someone might want a look.

This is an "F" engine lower intake. The black spot between the four ports on each side is soot on the aluminum.

That's the 5288 pump you passed my way. Tightened/cleaned the posts retorqued the nuts on fuel solenoid. no luck. I even tried pushing the wires into the FSD connector. same DTC 36. I half contemplated pulling the pump and putting the fuel solenoid/head from the old one on it. Edited by: quantum mechanic

don't swap the solenoid, swap the whole head, its just 3 bolts. Then you should get exactly the same CT as you had with your old pump then.


You'd never get the solenoid set to the right Poppet valve stroke. Get it too long and it won't function, too short and you risk engine runaway and head seizure.Edited by: Texas Diesel Guy
