Need some help with the brake box wiring. I have my Brakemate MT box from my previous truck and the wiring harness for the new truck. Brakemate has 4 wires and the wiring harmess has 5 wires.
Wiring legend for the Brakemate diagram show: (4 wires)
+ Black Wire (positive battery)
- White wire (negative battery)
Red wire (cold side of stoplight switch)
Blue wire (brake output to trailer)
The wiring harness legend shows: (5 wires)
RED - Fuse B+ - Fused Trailer Brake Controller Battery Feed
DK Blue - BRK OUT - Trailer Brake Controller Switched Output
LT Blue - BRK SIG - Vehicle Stop Lamp Switch to Brake controller input
BLK - BRK GND - Brake controller ground
BRN - LLUM - Brake controller llumination
I believe I figured out: (box to harness)
Blue to DK Blue
Black to Red
(not sure about the rest:)
White to Black?
Red to Lt Blue?
where to put the brown to?
Hope this isn't too confusing...Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
