works on any vehicle, very accurate device to measure performance, but not improve anything

it works by measuring g forces applied to it by acceleration, braking and cornering, you could use it on a bicycle if you wanted. It would probably be best to get that first, so you can really accurately measure your gains and tune your truck to best performance.

so by measuring the g forces is how it get the horsepower and torque also

well it calculates vehicle weight and compares that to acceleration and comes up with a rough guess at HP, Accuracy is not that great, but its precise enough to know whether you've actually gained or lost power.

not a clue...like I said it will be off, they don't even know how much its most useful for knowing if a mod you did improved your performance or not, not really good for comparing HPs to other trucks.

save your money for a downpipe and a turbomaster

We have one of the old ones (version 1) and it is accurate onto itself within a certain amount. You can't use it to compare one truck to another, but it will let you know what your mods have done by more than just seat of your pants testing. You can get one used for much cheaper if you want a play toy. I know of a guy selling version 1 for like $50 so look around. These guys are almost always talking over my head and I have to ask hubby what is being discussed in my terms...lol. At least I can help answer this one question.

Good Luck!
