exactly. It costs much more than a Chilton's or Haynes, but its also about 8,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times better, maybe even a little more.

A good shop manual can run a few hundred bills. Chilton is the better of the "maintenance manuals". Key word in there maintenance. Shows you how to swap various things like filters and solenoid, shop manuals have way more no doubt.

$150 is what I paid fro a new set, can be found cheaper used, Chiltons et als. from my experience are more frustrating than useful, most useful info you would find in those can be found here, IMO save your coins & buy the set of GM manuals. There are also some retailers that sell GM manuals on CD for about cost of a set of Chiltons

Search ebay at one time there was a CD retailer there, just make sure you are buying the GM Truck CDs and not a copy of the military manual
