What upgrades can I do to my tanny and not break my already broken checkbook.

pretty much nothing since anything significant that will actually make a difference will require the tranny to be dropped.

Here is the most cost effective solution: Turn down the Juice. Torque Converter and valve body upgrades are by no means cheap, but the first step in beefing it up. No cheap way around a limpin ally! I have a Copilot on my ATS, and during the upshift from first to second with the Copilot, when im gettin on it, is so firm that it will bark the tires as the shift occurs ):h

I agree with clancutters. I would start savin as much as you can as fast as you can and just turn down the juice untill you can afford the tranny mods. I think you can get away with the converter and transgo (not transgo jr.) but I am not familiar with the 5spd you could pm mikeL i bet he would know for sure

Send Mike L. or Dmaxallitech a PM and maybe they can give you some directions as in what you should consider, I would just start saving until you get enough to do the trans.

depends on what you want to do. do a search in this forum on posts started by this user "prorida" or brows some of the first couple pages. There is some talk of lower buck builds.

How much power do you want to hold and what do you want to do? Most say transgo and converter is about the most low buck approach you can go.
