My Allison has 45K miles on it and has had the 125hp juice on it for most of those miles. I have never limped the tranny but I would like to know what upgrades should be done to hold @500hp. I have read mostly about the Suncoast products and I was hoping to get a ballpark figure on how much it would cost (2K-5K?). I would also want this to be done at either a dealer or suncoast.

Eric is talking about the shipping from Suncoast to him and back. His prices posted are what it would be if you took your truck to him.

Cool to have one of the "masters" so close, better drive mine out there before the 4X4 launches make me have to trailer it out there--don't think the mini van is gonna like pullin a Dmax! Oh ya, how do I hide 3500 big ones from my better half? I'm still hearin about the 7 bills I forked out for the juice and that was two months ago!

What would it be if I drove my truck to Suncoast, since I live in Florida? No shipping right! Suncoast III looks like the bullet proof vest for the Ally. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

you would have to call down there and ask them

Dmaxallitech, what do these Sun Coast Tranny Mods do for the average mildly modified D/A? I have the Predator and mostly drive empty, but pull my 12k Toy Hauler, or 5-6k utility trailer.

Thanx,

txguppy

txguppy Not quite sure what your meaning by your question, but the beauty of the Transgo kit (the heart of the Suncoast) is it maintains near stock feel under normal driving. Put the pedal down and she lets you know she is there. 12k with a power adder will be no problem with a low level used, and with an improved transmission, EGT's will be your only worry. I know that in my experience, the Pred likes to run on the warm side.

Joe told me he charges $1400.00 for labor and fluid when I asked him, since that's what the local shop I talked to said. The local shop knows him and does a lot of Dodges, but hasn't done and Ally, so they called him and gave me the labor price. I thought Joe had given them the number of hours to install, but he gave them a price instead.

Shipping for Florida to Utah is $74.50 for the Stage III kit, don't know about return shipping on the converter, so you avoid shipping alright. So that makes the project $3595.00 from Suncoast.Edited by: Zeeb

That's only $95 more (~3%) more than Eric charges. I would think that is a pretty good deal.
