Ok, where in the world do you get tie down anchors that will fit in the stake cut outs on our trucks ? Mine measure about 1.75 x 2.50 . I can't find any big enough !

Try Putco, they have nice pop up ones that I use and I really like how they look and work

Because I have a cap I mounted a set facing in, towards the bed. But I didn't need anything special -- all the ones I found seemed to work pretty good.

I'm looking for tie downs as well. Found this topic while doing a search.

I just took my truck in today to have the Line-X spray on and saw some tie downs from Bulldog. They have a couple different types. They looked pretty sturdy. Their web page is www.bulldogaccessories.com (http://www.bulldogaccessories.com).

I'll have to check out the Putco ones as well.

Anyone know any other brands?

GM has 'em from the stealers, but you'll probably have to order them or at least I did.

For what it's worth, you can't put much pressure on them since the beds of these new trucks are not nearly as stout as the older trucks. About all I can use mine for is tarps or tying in brush for the trip to the dump etc.

They definitely are not suitable for ATV tie downs or anything like that, you'll have to use the tiedowns in the lower section of the bed for that sort of thing.

Sorry I posted the wrong link. Its Bull Accessories and the link is www.bullaccessories.com (http://www.bullaccessories.com). Sorry about that.

Yeah, even though the manufacturares say they are rated for 500, 600, etc. pounds I would be careful how much stress I put on them. Like Zeeb says, I woul only use them to tie down a tarp ro light cargo. Definitely use the welded metal loops lower in teh bed for heavy stuff.

After some web searching I have fount the Hide-A-Hook, Bull, and Putco tie downs. They are all $20 - $20 a pair.
