Goin tomorrow to get a set of new plugs and nozzles. Is there really a special socket for the nozzles, or GP's ? If not, what size am I workin with? Any special notes always welcome. Thanx.

Are you talking about putting new "nozzles" into the injector bodies or replacing the entire injector?

If replacing the injector you can use a 30mm deep socket but their are specific injector sockets that have a hex end that allow you to put a wrench on it for tight to reach places. They are also designed so they don't damage the return line barbs.

Glow plugs just require a 10 or 11mm (can't remember which size) deep socket.

Believe it or not, I used an off sized(for an OPS, not the one for our OPS) OPS socket for the injector replacement and it worked fine. It is buried out in the toolbox right now but could find it out tomorrow if needed. When doing the swap, make sure you get all new supply/return lines for the injectors as well. As for the GP's, go with what Dave says, just be careful not to break the tabs on the new ones and use long needle nose pliers(gently) to take off the clips or you'll be rewireing the adapters/tabs to be able to reapply:cool: .
