Apparently with the Ford 6.0, if you turn the ignition to the START position while driving at ~95 it disables the speed limiter (no the starter won't engage with the truck in Drive).

What happens, is the self-diagnostics start and temporarily disables it.

I wonder if the GM does the same thing? I can't test it because I don't have a limiter.

Just thought it was interesting trivia.

Rat, how is it that you don't have a limiter? I have an 04 Chevy HD. After installing the juice/attitude 2 days ago I passed an older f350 on the freeway. He did not like that and ran up on my tail. My truck choked at 96 mph.

I have owned 11 cars, NEVER been limited on top end, I am not fond of this type of feeling and am not anxious to have it repeated; EVER. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of this idiotic factory setting without reinventing the wheel (again after installing new Attitude...).

Thanks
