Hey guys, I'm new here but this forum's already helped me a lot. I searched for this question but didn't find much (could have been looking in the wrong place?) but here it is. I've got an LB7 with a stage1 AFE, Superchips Flashpaq, and 4" turbo-back exhaust. I love it and it's plenty fast for me (for now!), but most other LB7's I see around throw a LOTTA black smoke when they get on it, but mine doesn't. What do they have done that I don't? Thanks for bearin with my "noob-ness".

Most of the "hotter" tuners and control modules smoke quite a bit....Programmers like Predator smokes quite a bit....Modules such as Edge, Banks, PPE, smoke quite a bit as well.

Remember, black smoke means its unburned fuel, which is not necessarily a good thing.

My truck smokes like a champ. Like stated above it is wasted fuel. I wish I had a bigger turbo to burn that wasted fuel into HP. Nitrous would do to.

so what happens when i don't see black smoke when i "floor it"? it used to do that but last week i noticed no smoke anymore. any ideas? thanks!

Most likely the fuel filter needs to be changed.

The J/A low boost setting WILL increse it....

If smoke is what youre after just get a big ppe:rolleyes: or efi live tune:dand smoke away...

well i changed the fuel filter today... but no change. am i suppose to notice it right away? :)

What do you set it on? If I have the PPE Boost increase valve can I nuse it or less of it?
