Hello,
i am replacing my starter, the old one did not have the starter brace but i want to put one on the new one and i already have the brace, but i don't have the bolt and have no idea what length or thread size that bolt should be. There are a three tapped holes above the starter, they all look the same and i am sure once the brace is on there it will easy to figure out which one it goes in. Does anyone know what size bolt it should be?
thanks,
Paul

I replaced mine today and IIRd it was 13mm head. It was a bugger to get to though.

without looking at it, I can give you these recommendations.

I'd be willing to bet that a 10mm x 1.5 pitch x 25mm long (or 30mm) bolt would work.

If thats too big try a 8mm x 1.25 x 25 (or 30)

now remember, this is metric stuff, dont go buy a tiny #10 SAE bolt. Might as well buy one of each, as they cost only a few cents each.
