Need advice. Currently I can get the supplier price on gms until the end of the year. Additionally they are offering $2500 cash back and I can get a 3.33% 6 year loan from a local credit union.

Should I buy now or wait to see if incentives increase through nov and dec?

I would imagine that incentives will increase in November or December as GM will trys to close out the year on a positive note.

I heard just this week that GM has another incentive where they will match your down payment up to $1,000 maximum. This is good until 2004. It may only be for employees -- I haven't gotten all of the details yet.

In addition, there is a $1,000 private offer being sent out to current GM truck owners. If you get one of these (invitation only) it is worth another $1,000. The dealer that sold you that Yukon should have put you on the list to get a coupon (assuming that you bought it new) -- if not I would ask them to. Details are at http://www.gmtruckoffer.com.

Update: I just heard that the new payment match incentive is for everyone -- not just GM employees. It should be in effect any day now. In addition, a lease pull-ahead incentive will be announced as well.

Current incentive for Oregon is $3750.00 or 0% and $750 cash.

GMS which is how I buy and it will add a signifigant discount as well.

click here for the link and look for the zone GM Discounts Home (http://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/index.jsp)

Actually the $3,750 is only for 2003 model year vehicles.

The current incentive for Oregon is (was?) $2,750 ($2,500+ $250) on 2004 model year vehicles.

The new $1,000 down payment match deal should hopefully bring that up to $3,750. If you have a private offer coupon then $4,750.

This is all off of retail, GMS, and GMO pricing (depending on which you can get) -- not too bad in any case...

I was going to go into the dealer tonight and do the deal.

What day do you think this matching deal will be availible, and how do you get a coupon?

I *think* that the down payment match program has started (today?). The dealer should have received info on it and should know for sure. You may have to use GMAC for the loan? I don't know.

The coupon is invitation only and is sent out to customers that have purchased a GM truck in the recent past (4 or 5 years?). I don't know how you make it into this database, but somehow your name is put on a list. If you have purchased a new GM truck before you could ask the dealer about that as well. It probably isn't easy (or quick) to get put on the list, however, if you are not on it already.

Good luck!
