I thought I would ask again how to get the steering wheel controls turned on in my 04 D/A CC SLE. I added the new column coil and steering wheel with controls but no one seems to want to let go with some codes so I can get this system operational. I was hoping one of the techs might have some insight on this. I know this can be accomplished but I need help from a higher authority...

MaxPower how the heck did you get to be so damned smart? You seem to always have an answer. An answer that is very helpful to say the least. Hats off to you buddy!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

Thanks
Quality seems good. Probably better then the US. Price is not too bad. Average around $2 per gallon. Shouldn't be too bad in Alberta. By October I would think it would be cheaper again. Edited by: Max Power

Use your credit card to buy fuel. Actually I recommned using your credit card to buy everything. Chances are you will get the best exchange rate that way.

I will do that. I will be pulling my 10K fifth and tomorrow I install my 80 gal transfer tank. I will only need to fill up one time and that should be on the way home. 114 gallons of fuel = 1140 miles at 10mpg pulling and at 17mpg= @1900 miles. I like that option of choosing when to fill up.
Thanks Max Power but been there and done that already with the GM-Trucks web site. I was hoping to get some feed back from one of the techs. GM assistance is reluctant to give codes or programming for anything that isn't identified on the vin number. After stating that there was a person diligent enough to go to dealer after dealer and found one who was able to get GM tech assistance to give up the programming so the steering wheel controls could be turned on giving access to the DIC and radio control functions. I know there are instrument clusters available from companies like JP Customs that have this feature turned on, I didn't really want to go that route due to the $ 400.00 cost and then having an odometer that was 10,000 miles off. Then I would still have to address the radio feature.
