I have a 2003 Silverado with the Bose system/ 6 disc player. The rear speakers suddenly stopped working. Could the speakers be blown or the stereo shot? Has anyone had this occur? Thanks

Someone probably turned your rear seat entertainment on and that shuts off the rear speakers.

I checked that and its still not working.

Spoke with service advisor at dealer today and was told the radio was probably shot (faulty channel). Before I purchase a replacement, has anyone had this happen to them. He also stated the Bose amp may be shot. I checked all fuses for the system and they are fine. I also disassembled the center console and checked the amp for an external fuse which I did not find. The center woofer is still working making be think the amp is good. Any input would be great. Thanks

You could move the wires into the amp from the radio so the rear feeds the front and visa versa to see if it's the amp or the radio. Or maybe borrow an amp from someone who is local to you to see which is the problem. The good news is either is a pretty inexpensive fix, as both are replaced when people upgrade to lux nav units - there's plenty to be had on this board! :D
