I have an 06 lbz with a xcelerator and duramaximizer stacked. I have a five star torque converter and co pilot when i turn my co pilot all the way up on race and give it gas it SLAMS harder than s*&* into the next gear too early this is when i give er about half throttle. I also slammed on the throttle from about twenty and the tranny took off then slammed into gear so hard the truck just about tripped on its face whats going on? Is anyone else having this problem i never use my co-pilot on race cuz of this. Its always on and the light blinks periodically if thats normal and run it about half way up and my xcelerator is usually all the way up. Oh yeah stock tranny 4.56 grear 24's with 37's

Your TAPS have no idea what to do with this combination. This is anybodys guess as far as what's going on.

Maybe lose the xcelerator and go with a custom tune where i can program my truck specifically for what i have done?

Just a co pilot isnt going to save your trans. If your going to run a real hot tune you need to do more to it. JMO

And co pilots will give firm shifts. The old ones would slam hard at part throttle and bark tires.

I do have plans of installing a suncoast V like in the next month is there any easy way of telling if i have the most recent co pilot? I still dont know why it slams into gear way to early with the co pilot on race mode. My truck with the xcelerator on 3 and my torque converter and co pilot will rip my 37 loose from a start and shift really hard into second ripping them loose and sometimes into third so it sucks i cant really race someone with it floored from a 0mph

I have noticed the trans shifts to early with the co-pilot on kill. Have you been getting a Torque converter clutch code with it on kill?

Tlee05 yes i have been having the same problem with mine its scary when it happens a guy told me today it was one clutch pack was still holding as another was going and they were binding and yes throwing codes i never use it on kill for Allison's sake. IBDMAXIN do you have my fix on the way too??

I figured out what was going on with the most of the codes that were being thrown. But I don't know if it has any relation to the hard shifting issue. Give me a call and I'll get ya fixed up.

Cheers,
Wade
