I'm looking to get into Hotshot Transporting. I would like some input from all of the experts about certain things to look for like going auto or manual. I am looking to purchase an early 2000 or late 1990's Dodge 3500 for two or three car hauling. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Well you can't go wrong with a Cummins. I prefur a Manual over an auto, Because if you are try to haul like a Semi, drive like a Semi!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I have a 6 spd manual and I love it to death.

I would suggest searching this forum, particularly the towing section. I remember there were conversations about 3-car trailers and hotshotting. Also put up a post in their. It's really not a brand based question.

Hotshot transporting involves transporting vehicles on a smaller level than semi's. Usually you get jobs through individual companies. I'm new to this, so anyone else that has input please add to it.
