I have had the Edge on my LLY for about two weeks. I just installed the attitude this afternoon. The truck ran fine for about 30 minutes and that it lost power and will not rev over 2k rpms. The people that installed the attitude said to call Edge because I did not get it from them. I am about to unhook the Attitude and then the Edge itself. Please let me know if you have any advice

Check all the pins in the plugs under the hood. Make sure none are bent over or pushed in. No worries, edge will look after you.

Andrew, I wouldnt get to worried just yet. If it does it consistently i would check into it. It wouldnt hurt to call Edge and see what they say though. MIne has done it twice in 2,000 miles is all and im rodding the heck out of it ! What is happening is called engine limp mode and it wont let it rev over 2k rpm. You have to pull over and shut the truck off for like 20 seconds and then all is good agian. If it continues Edge will make it right with you im sure.

andrew- Mine has done this a few times also. At first they were calling it EGR limp mode for lack of a better term. Talking with them this past week, it doesn't look like there is a fix as of yet, but they are working on it. This has happened to several people, so don't feel alone.

I had to turn it off for 5 minutes or so to get it back but it has worked fine since. I tried to call Edge but it was after 5:00 MST. I swear it drove and pulled better without the attitude but maybe I am just thinking this. Thanks for the replies

Let me elaborate. I meant that it drove and pullled better with the Edge in but not the Attitude. I am now positive it was smoother. I pulled my 4500 lb boat around in mountains all weekend and it was definately pulling stronger and smoother when I just had the chip in for a few weeks before the attitude.

im pretty sure theres a good reason for that as i posted above in agreeing with you - ive been doing my homework on alot of programs and checking into programming and can see where it would make a difference in that application

Would this be due to the Attitude backing down the power due to EGTs??

IMO - no, because were talking about just towing in general and how the truck performs

Agreed. I think the truck pulls stronger without the attitude even with lower egts. I also saw a bit of a stumble rolling into the throttle before a grade where I always had a totally smooth delivery without the attitude. More testing this weekend

LOL - i found the same thing, makes you wonder why ?? i tested it out pretty thoroughly over the past 5 weeks and came to some good conclusions / guesstimates IMO

A few things in the programming difference between straight edge box and edge/attitude - most of these difference are from my own information gathering and may not be 100% correct but i believe theyre dam close
