Hey guys, I belong with a DTR (Cummins website) and The Diesel Stop, and heard this was THE place for the Duramax, so here I am. The reason I am here is I need to try and locate parts for a Duramax Project that I have going on. I currently own a modded CTD, and I also owned a 03 7.3 PSD, and now want to do a Dmax Project. So, as you can tell, I am truck friendly, and not loyal to any one brand. So, how do I go about locating a block and cylinder heads, and they can be junk as I need them for mock up puproses right now. I am building a race car, and want to drop in a DMax in it, and run it on Bio Diesel to boot.. I run a fab shop, and we have a few cars under construction, and i want to do something REALLY different.

So, hello, glad to be a member here on the board, and if you guys can point me in the right direction for some parts, I will be on here quite a bit as the project gets under way.

Where are you located. There may be a shop near you that has a motor with windows in it you could use for mock up.

I am in Pearland, suburb of Houston. I like to drive, so no worries there. Where is the block located? Thanks!

Any luck on finding a block and heads for me? Like I said, junk is OK, and actually preferred since I just ned to mock up. Once I mock up, then I can I start the build. No hurry, but would like to try and locate a junk block and heads so Ican go ahead and start mocking it up. Thanks for any and all help/info/insight:cool:

Anyone? Anyone have a lead on a cracked 6.6? Any windowed 6.6's? Anything? I know with all the modded, sled pullers, drag racers, heavy street hitters, there HAS to be some junk out there!!

Have you talk to any of the local performance shops? The is MA but then you would have to ship it.
