Gotta ask this question even though I am sure some of you will think it is pretty basic.....I have been driving my 2004 C5500 for 2 years and is has less than 40,000 miles on it. I have noticed that even when I let it warm up for 20 minutes, the oil pressure gauge goes up to 80 when I accelerate...even when acceleration is slow. That seems high to me. When it finally kicks into 4th gear, the pressure goes back to 40-60, which I am more comfortable with seeing. Any comments?

my 03 6500 7.8Dmax does the same crusing on the highway at 2000rpm's hold the oil press right about 78lbs.
