There are tons of exhaust options for my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD. Is there a huge benefit to a turbo back over a cat back system? Also, how much of a gain is there when deleting the the cat? Just looking for a better pullling power and hopefully some mileage, without any hassles in regard to engine lights, codes or limping home.. The truck is currently stock with an Edge EZ.

For the easiest set up just go with cat back, if after you install that you are still wanting more you can latter add the front pipe/cat portion. the cat back system will not set off lights, the front pipe will.
Thanks. What system would you recommend?

Go with an MBRP cat-back kit and then buy the front-pipe seperate to make it a "turbo-back" kit. This will allow you to swap the cat in and out for dealer visits etc. I suggest stainless as it comes with a longer warranty and will hold up to the elements much better. Check our site for more info and pricing. If you have any questions, dont hesitate to call.

Remember that Diesels dont put off moisture like a gas engine. Aluminized will last a long time aswell, and is alot less expensive.

I have been thinking about getting the Banks Monster Exhaust system. How does this compare to the MBRP?

If you do not want any lights or codes a cat back will do the job. Your looking at ~10RwHp for an increase and you should see ~150 deg temperature drop in EGT when pulling. Be careful in what you get based on what your going to do with it. There are a lot of different brand exhaust kits but the noise levels vary alot. So if you tow heavy loads for long distances some can be very annoying. We are known for the quitest kit on the market and you can take a look at them on our web site.

Lots of info, thanks guys. The MBRP aluminized cat back system is tempting due to the low price. Has anyone here been unhappy with this system? Too loud or quality issues? MBRP was a big favorite in the poll. Looks like both the Kennedy Diesel and TTS systems are the most quiet, but are a little more expensive. I'd imagine most of the 4" systems will yield similar power gains, right?
