: Boost and pulling?

Today I pulled my 10K fifth wheel and this is the first time since installing the hot juice. In Montana it is fairly hilly where I am at and my EGTs were at 10-almost 12s and my boost was at 20 at times. This is in level 2 of the juice. I turned off the T/H and this is the level 4 (125) and my EGTs remained VERY close to the other reading but my boost would go into 22-23 at times (up hill). I always watch my EGTs and am wondering is this too much boost for a pull or should I be worried about too high EGTs like @ 13-14s?

I am really impressed with the hot juice and the mid-high end power for pulling. My thinking too is if I do not down shift and keep my speedo the same (73-74) as well as keeping EGTs 11-12s then I am doing good. Is this correct?

I JUST DONT THINK YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BOOST AT ALL.....SOME ON HERE RUNNING LOTS MORE THAN THAT...THE ONLY THING I WOULD WORRY ABOUT WOULD BE TRANNY BUT I SEE YOU HAVE THAT TAKEN CARE OF.....

Ben, if you go with a 4" system you can shave about 100* off the EGT's. I can tow the same weight in the 125HP range and keep it below 1300* at all times. Don't worry much about going over that mark for short periods though. Grades are fun with that kind of power for sure.

I removed the muffler for $20, right now I cannot justify spending 400+ for a bit bigger exhaust system. IMO. I will not wory about my boost right now, but will keep an eye on the pyro though.

Thanks
