I have a hard time geting my truck to disengage out of 4WD. To get it to disengage I have to put the truck in neutral and then select 2WD and stop, Then it is usually out of of 4WD It has been going slower since it has been cold outside,but works faster when its like 35 degrees or higher, could this be the Actuator starting to go bad.

that sounds about normal for shifting out of 4lo. Is that what your talking about, or are you needing to do for 4hi?

Are the hubs disengaging? Backing up always works for me.

If I'm in 4lo it usually comes out much quicker,but in 4hi I have to stop put the truck in neutral then it usually goes out of 4hi.
