Don't get the Inteco TrXus MT's. They are junk. I've had two 33x12.5x17's that have seperated and gotten air between the plies and bubbled the tread. One tire was from the original 4 and the other one was the replacement for the first bad one. Both had low miles. Has anyone else had this problem with the TrXus MT's?

When I got my Trxus MT one year ago they lasted two months before they started to crack around the nobbies. Discount tire replaced all four the Goodyear MTR. You could see the steel in the cracks. Yes they are pieces of crap. Our trucks may be too heavy for those tires?

i had them in 285's, and they never cracked, however they didn't last long at all, and were horrible to balance!

Time for some boggers Mikehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif They really sling the goo, make tsl's look like AT tires

So you looking for replacements for the 17's Mike. Wild Country RVT makes a 33x12.5x17.

I'm curious as to what load rating the Intercos were.

I've have heard of many guys having the Thornbirds throwing lugs but they were using load range "C" tires on full size truck. Not good....

The Intercos that I have used on my Jeep have held together well, but have a soft compound, for whatever it's worth.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

They are rated E load range. I don't have many miles on mine, yet, but have had no problems so far, but it seems like i should keep an eye on them.

Let's not mix the Thornbirds into this conversation. IMO those pieces of junk aren't worth the rubber they're molded out of and shouldn't be mounted on anything other than trailer queen show trucks.

You started this thread right on que Mike. I just about had my mind set on buying the TRXus MT's for my own truck.

I've mentioned this on other boards, and those people are keeping an eye on this thread too. Problems with the TRXus MT's seem to be few and far inbetween, as far as I can tell, but one problem that keeps being mentioned is the balancing issue. For the most part, people have been really happy with them and have been getting around 40,000 miles out of them, sometimes even with a lot of off-road abuse.

they are a quiet mud tire and they seem to wear slowly but as they wear they get out of balance

the 33x12.5x17 are load range E rated at 3085 per tire

Mike... Did you replace the two TRXus MT's that seperated and bubbled with the same, or a different tire model?

I just replaced a set of 255/85 TrXus MT's. Put roughly 13,000 miles on the tires, by the time I replaced them the tread blocks were almost completey gone. Tread wear was minimal for the the first 5000 miles, but after that they wore out incredibly quick. I had no problems with tread separation or cracking. I was very disappointed as I was expecting at least 30k miles from them. Had them rotated and balanced at 5 and 10K miles. Tech told me he could not get them balanced, and he must have had 6 pounds of lead on ech wheel. Like most mud tires they spent the majority of their life on paved roads. I'm not as hard on my tires as imagine some of y'all are. No Juice or quad, bone stock. By the end the ride was terrible. In their defense, in 255/85 they are an 8 ply tire, but are rated for 3000lbs.

Have a friend who is on his second set of 285's, got 30K out of the first set and he's much harder on his tires than I ever thought about. Hopefully my experience was the exception.

By the way, replaced them with Cooper S/T's. The difference in the ride is night and day. I would swear the roads around here have been repaved with babies' butts, its that much smoother.
