I 'm having problems with my truck stalling or going to idle, no codes. 94 k2500 6.5 VIN F. Have change most things see post in 6.5 engines. I notice the seedometer bouncing around. I read that the VSS can shut down fuel so maybe their related? It really would be nice to have a truck I can trust again . Thanks for the help JoeEdited by: joefenderman

yes. but the stalling may be fuel filter, the black box (control unit) or the pump.

I am assuming you have a 4L80E. You have a TISS and a TOSS ( trans input sensor and trans output sensor) I see a lot of these sensors go bad. They will set a MIL and go to limp or possibly drop out of 4th at hyway speeds. They will not cause stalling. A converter clutch solenoid can. If the ball sticks in the seat it can kill the motor when put into gear because the converter clutch will not release ( kinda like a stick shift coming to a stop and forgetting to depress clutch). If this is the case, a code will not exist and it usually means O/H time.

No I have the 5-speed manual. With a scope I can see the VSS does have big gaps. I don't think it's the cause of my stalls. I was able to capture the stall with a scope and the VSS signal was good at the time. I do see the computer shutting off the Fuel solenoid. I am going to start looking at the inputs when I get my clutch working again. Hose broke going to the slave solenoid. Edited by: joefenderman
