I have just purchased a new Duramax and would like some advise on how many miles to put on the truck before adding the Edge Juice Box.

Have heard of guys waiting say....5,000 miles or so, and have heard of guys putting the box on as soon as they drove it off the lot, or on the lot in some cases.

Wouldn't hurt to get a couple oil changes under your belt, let parts seat a little first, IMO.

Some will say wait 500, others will say 5000. And like HD4fun said some will take them home and install them as soon as they pull in the garage. You need to make sure that you are not having any issues with your truck before you install. Just make sure there are not any TSB's or anything that you will have to take your truck in for. Because when they do come about you will have to take out your edge so that you can take it in for service. I think that is the only gripe that some have is having to remove everything. I personally waited till I got the first oil change, then it was fair game for me. But now stock is nice too..http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif

The truck was deliverd on a Wed and the next mon I installed my edge. I already had on about 500 miles. you seem to find places to go when you get a new ride. Happens every time.
