You can buy the Triple Disk TC then the Transgo....then the Booster Valve..........then the clutches.

Or Charge it and pay it back a little at a time...........at least then you get to use it while your paying for it.

Just a thought.

just buy it and be done with it..... If you dont mind doing labor a couple times, you could save money and buy the parts piece by piece... but might as well do it once and be done, you'll be happy you did.

Yes..............

The last time I looked the kit listed for $2195.00

Plus adding in the shipping to you and the return shipping for the converter.

Also the fluid, transfer case gasket if you have a 4 wheel drive and the R&R of the tranny.

If I had to say one thing about the kit it's this.............

"WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO UPGRADE THE TRANNY"

The triple lock converter is the biggest and expensive piece.

How do these compare to the ATS kits. I know the ATS is more expensive but will the suncoast hold say 500 h/p and be dependable.

Seems to have no problems IMO geno.

If some one told me I could save 500$ and all I would have to do is drop my trany and do a R&R and rebuild on it 3 seperate times I'd ask were the nearest street corner is because there are less pain in the ass ways to come up with 500$.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Stern Smile.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Shocked.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Throw Up.gif

The thought of doing to just break up the payments? No way IMO, that what credit cards are for. Well......that kinda thinking can get you in trouble in a hurry.

Dont get me wrong, I liked doing it and doing the stuff was pretty easy, fun, and very satisfying but once i got it on the bench I wouldnt want to think....hey in 2 weeks when I get paid again I got to rip her apart again, yea! Besideds the cost to fill it with ATF multipul times would suck.

Other than that its no biggy one way or the other. Gime a break it late in the dayhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif

Wolford,

I hate owing anybody money for anything. I don't owe one red cent to anyone. You can buy SOOOOOO much more stuff if you save the money first, then buy what you want. There is this little kicker banks give you called interest. It's a wonderful thing. Save the bucks, when you get enough, get the tranny done. Take yourself out to dinner with the interest charges you saved on the credit card, and the money you made in interest at the bank.

Last time I looked the price was about the same for a Fully Built ATS trans from them and a fully built Suncoast Stg V.

yeh I think i am just going to buy the whole kit. My tranny isnt going to hold up much longer ( at least i dont think so). I have my edge on level 3(Drive) and today I got on it and the Alli went into neutral (only 6000 miles on her) so im taking out the edge until i get the tranny built up.
