well im not sure if this is the right area but i wanted some more oppinions. i just put a 6 inch lift with 35s on 20s, it cost me around 3500 bucks or so, i really like being able to go offroad and not get high centered on a 5inch rock! haha but with my efi live and such i would like to be able to run a decent tune all the time and not worry about the trans and put some a/f 16s back on. just wondering what your guys's oppinion is. also is there a good lift kit that actuall fits properly and doesnt stick my right side only out 2 inches? and doesnt have huge slotted mounting holes? thanks guys!

Cognito says their lift moves the tires only 1/2 inch out. With that much rolling mass I dont think you can run too big of a tune without a tranny upgrade. At least a transgo & TC.

If you decide to take off the lift and need the diff ear replacement, I have one I was going to use when/if I took the lift off my 03'. I decided to sell it (the truck) instead of piecing it back together. Brand new, still in box.

Depends, do you want to look cool, or go fast? I personaly have a decently fast truck with a 6" Fabtech and would rather turn heads, especially hot chics in convertables, than be sitting on factory 16's and tires that get overshadowed by Miata tires. Save a few buck and just put a stage 2 or 3 kit in your Alli.
Also, my Fabtech lift set the front end out a totall of 5" over stock. I just got on Ebay and ordered some spacers for the rear. About $75 shipped. Hope this helps!

Hahaha ya I know neens!! :) Well I don't like the front wheels sticking out because if I go through the slightest puddle it flips mud all the way to my tail lights! Also if I get on it at all I get weird vibrations, especially in 4wd, if there were a lift that could still perform close to stock I'd like that route, but if I can't find one for a reasonable price I might just sell my lift and wheels and put some 18s on and a sc 5 or somethin? Thanks for the input guys!

Just a quick question, why don't you just recalibrate you trans. with the efilive program ,for you tire size?

I sold my 6 inch CST lift to get my trans done. I have been more than happy with my decision. I loved my lift, but I love having 500 hp more. You could always sell the lift get the trans done and put a better lift on like a cst or cognito in the future.just my 2 cents

My 2WD runs just under 100 in the 1/4 mile, stock height w/ 285s, with either me or my grandpa driving...Is that bad?...

i hear your dilema, i almost wish i didnt lift my truck
hindsight is 20/20 you should of went with a different lift to decrease the amount of the front tires sticking out. maybee you should look at the bushwacker cut outs to help keep the mud off the truck

but you have it on now so i would keep it and be happy! get the trans done and let the neens help you with the power,go with the SC4 imo and the 1057
its only money and you cant take it with ya when you croak ...so spend away

well i should have gotten a quality lift to start with, i bought a used pos and so my passenger side sticks out like 2 inches and the drivers side is flush! and i get clunks on alot of bumps! i really like having it up higher but if all lifts are this crappy then i guess ill deal with it being a lowrider! :D looks like ill be calling some trans shops up! be ready neens!!:grd:

That's odd, I don't have that problem at stock height...If I wanna see them, I just look in my rearview mirror

Doesnt a Pro-Comp lift keep all 4 wheels in the same track? I believe it also keeps the front end parts (CV's, etc) at their factory angles?

I was wondering the same thing because im thinking about buying a pro comp 6". I know a guy that sled-pulls with one of these and has no probs with his front end and you know its gotta be in a strain.
