I would like to thank Mike L. again for the advice you gave me today. I'm the new guy from Cincinnati you spoke to earlier today. I will be able to get the PPE Hot + 2 before I can put out the cabbage for the trans goodies. I'm not racing the truck or trying to kill it at every stop light, so with that said, what level will I be safe at until the trans mods are able to be gotten? I know I'm doing this kinda backwards, but I just can't wait! NEED MORE POWER!!!!! LOL

I have been running the 290 hp setting on my 05 lly for 36,000 miles and only limped it twice with a stock trans.

do you mean 90 HP. I limped my LLY twice on level 3 on my edge.

I didn't need to hear that. My poor transmission is going to get killed for sure! HA! HA!

Ok, I have a stupid question. This is my first Allison, so with this limp mode, what do you have to do to get it out of limp mode?

if you drive sane unloaded in level 3 on the PPE you should be OK(after awhile you willprobably hurt it if you are hard on your truck). Are you getting a full trans or the trans rebuilt by someone or what?

Just remember to lift throttle before the 4-5 shift and it will help alot. Also remember that you are in control of the pedal and it's up to you. You can drive around all you want with the PPE in its highest setting on a stock Alli and not hurt it if you use self control. :Get_him: :gr_grin:

I've limped mine a few times using edge EZ, I dont think I could control the "urge" with an available 290 HP! Its safe to say I would not be very friendly to the stock LLY with that kind of power available.

I usually run level 3 on my PPE and you will probably be OK. In level 4 if you get stupid you will limp it
