I just recieved a magazine called " GMC the magazine" there is an article about the lly duramax, What suprised me is what they state about the injectors, here is a quote
" The engine's common rail fuel system-using smaller, more precisely machined and positioned fuel injectors-sends fuel pulses into the cylinders. The injectors are now fully accessible, allowing service technicians to get to them without having to remove the cylinder head cover. But typically required only every 100,000 miles or more"
So are they saying that the lly is good for a 100,000 miles? I sure hope they drop the cost of injector replacement. In an article, a page prior to the duramax article, they are bragging about test trucks with the 5.3 litre, that have close to 500,000 miles. Most of the vehicles ive owned have gone over the 200,000 mile mark without any major failures.
