I have done a lot of searches on here but have not seen anyone with this cubby hole being put to use. Any ideas what its actually supposed to be for?

I was looking into possibly installing an aftermarket navigation unit in there or directly in front of it.

Got a pair of sunglasses in mine, the little cubby hole on the left of the steering wheel is the one i find useless. Anytime i did put something in there it fell out hitting a bump or under acceleration.

X2...the cubby hole to the left is 100% useless. In the other cubby hole, Ive got my cell phone usually, and a spike horn that I use to pick my teeth.

I did see a nice set of 2" gauges installed in the cubby hole to the left by a member on here, look real good, nice option to the A pillar mount. As far as the cubby on the right I think I have seen a 2 gauge panel that goes about in that same spot on Fords, I wonder if there is a molded panel out there that would work for GM's

I think AW Direct makes a nice looking switch panel that goes in there; they're a tow truck equipment distributor. Check out awdirect.com, I'll see if I can find a link.

That's where I mounted my brake controller and garage door opener. I cut out the back and sunk the controller in so that its flush. It looks trick and it almost hidden.

I've thought about putting the brake controller in there too. CJ, could you take a snap shot of your install and post it? Curious to see what it looks like.

I wanted to put eht brake controller in there but had to be at more of an angle for it to work, so I put sunglasses and garage door opener in there.
