Saw an ebay auction for glow plugs for a 6.2 or 6.5L GM diesel, made by SLM, dual element style - I'm curious if these plugs are worth the money, would they make my 6.2 diesel start easier in the winter? I live in MN and will be going to school in iowa so the reliable winter starting issue is of rather great importance to me.

The G-9 plug is single element, heats quickly but burns open with extended glow times.


G-11's and -60's are dual element, will survive extended glow, but G-60's require longer\repeated glow to reach temperature.


Check SLM site for info on their plugs - GM is Delco or Bosch
