I ws looking at a '95 6.5 diesel powered Tahoe the other day. Nice truck, runs good, diesel engine is fairly quiet. I noticed some blow-by that I thought was excessivehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif. The Cummins that I've worked on in the past, never had this much blow-by. How much is considered normal? It was coming out of the dipstick tube about 4" or so.
Also, while I have everyones attention....what other things should I look for on this truck? It has about 120k miles on it, runs well, trans shifts good, but needs an alignment. The previous owner installed a 6" Pro Comp lift and 35" BFGs. I don't understand how the 10-bolt rear ends handle the diesel power. That's ok...I have a 14-bolt behind the garagehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Rock On.gif.
Thanks in advance, Nick
p.s. This seems to be the best diesel sight on the planetEdited by: Blind Driver
