I searched to no avail. I am getting ready to do an overhead monitor install and was wondering how many have done this and if you have any tips or advice before proceding. How did you attach the monitor etc.
Thanks

Most of us have been using the ats mount. As soon as trippin's mount becomes available I am sure it will become a favorite.

Most kits will come with a base that you screw in and then bolt the monitor to it. Now, if you are wanting to install the factory one from GMC, you will need the harness and a new headliner. Quite a task. Go to GM-trucks.com and they can help you a little quicker. There are some neat audio guys over there. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I will be installing a 13.3" overhead monitor with DVD player, TV tuner, FM modulator and wireless headphones Friday. I guess I'll have to decide how to attach the monitor after I get the headliner out. I've seen some guys use a 1/2" piece of MDF and use construction adhesive to glue it to the roof and mount the monitor through the headliner into it. I installed a dual headrest monitor system on my previous F-350 that worked out nicely, but the overhead thing is new to me. Guess I won't know until I tear into it.
Also, Can someone tell me the size of screen the OEM systems have?
Thanks
