My sneaky wife needed me to take the day off work yesterday and drive her to Ogden,UT. to some crazy store she "just had to have me there to see it for myself" reason. We got to town and I then realized we were headed to Baker's Diesel, she just laughed and said it was unfair that I bought her a new wedding ring, so she bought me the MBRP dual exhaust and the Edge with Attitude! MAN what a truck now!! The sound is deep, you can really hear the turbo now,and the Edge is wild! I got the pillar pod that mounts right above the dash and the housing matches my interior, and makes the monitor very easy to read.I drive everywhere with the windows down.

A question though, it was 95 degree weather, and travelling back home at 77mph cruise, on occasion the cooling fan would run for a while, and when slowing down, the cooling fan would come on again, and then eventually go away, my trans guage said about 175, all other guages normal, this all on setting 1, and the AC going all the time, I just never noticed the fan going on B4, I have read the booklet that it comes with, it doesnt really explain much about the settings, of course I may well be that damn stupid http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif .

I drove approx 270 miles with it,almost all freeway, did I possibly hurt anything???

The cooling fan kickin on at 95 deg. seems normal to me. Did you hurt anything....nope, doesn't sound like it. Your wife sounds like a keeper...she definitely treats ya right!!! Enjoy the new beast...remember though....keep the edge at level 3 or under until you get that tranny upgraded....the stock allision can get very cranky on levels 4 and 5 if ran for extended periods of time.

Thanks, dpower

Yeah, the ol' Buzzard is quite the gal, I say.

I don't know if I'll see level 4 or 5 for quit a while, do you have to break-in each level, or just run what you want to??

What do you mean by the pillar pod? Is that to mount the Attitude monitor?

Yeah, it's a cool lookin thing! Ya know how you can get the 1-2,or 3 gauge pillar pods that match your color, well this is just like it except of course it's smaller and it houses the attitude monitor just above your dash, left of the steering wheel, right in easy view., looks great! It is not that metal arm that swivels and attaches to whatever.

I've never seen such a thing. That's exactly what I've been looking for to mount mine. I like having it in that corner of the dash but the metal mount is a piece of crap. Do you know who makes this?

Sure!, go to www.propods.com (http://www.propods.com), search on chevrolet, it will then give you the part #,etc. but I'll be hanged if I could find a pic of it!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif on your searched menu for Chev. scroll to the bottom, there will be your pod part # for truck Edge attitude monitor.

I called Baker's Diesel and they gave me this info., they have them in stock.Edited by: coolbeans
