The last 3-4 times I've driven my truck in the rain, it will cut out or die. It only has happened during rainy conditions. On two occassions my truck died when I came to a stop for whatever reason. It would start right back up. It's not like it won't totally run. It's just intermittent. Last night, while driving through rain down the interstate, it would jerk every once in a while. I guess it would have to be water getting into something, but where? It's not like I have water getting into a distributor cap or something like that. Any ideas?

i have seen issues with the crank position sensor. try light tapping or wiggling the connector. you can get to it from the pass wheel well

Sounds like the crank sensor to me.

There was a tsb for the 01 trucks because of water getting into the air cleaner. I wonder if it was done to your truck?

Have you tried taking out the Predator to see if it makes a difference? Just a thought.

water, mist ,getting air cleaner wet,the the engine light come on? mine did this a couple times and it was the air filter getting wet, so i cover the fender holes with foil tape near the air filter, it has never done it since.

Get a spray bottle and start squirting with the engine idleing. Wiggle things around as previously suggested. Sometimes a wiggle isn't enough and you'll need some wet too.
Any codes?

My SES light has not come on. I haven't scanned for codes. I don't remember seeing any foil on the fender. Thanks for the replies, I'll go scan with my Predator for codes and do some wigglin'.

ya my pickup did this exact thing and it was from the stock intake letting moisture get into the motor. so i put a cold air intake on and never again.

Mine has been doing the same thing the last 2 weeks. Today was worse then others so I disconnected the Edge. Not any better so I opened the plug on the bottom of the fuel filter. Started it again and it stalled again. Restarted it rev'ed it to about 1200-1500 rpms for about 30 seconds and it ran fine the rest of the day. We will see tomarrow.

It bucked everytime we'd hit rain on the way back from Nashville today. I'll check the air intake tomorrow for water. I did do some swiss cheese work on the box a while back. I wouldn't be surprised to find some water. Darn, looks like I have my excuse to get an AFE now.

Alright, I finally got around to scanning for codes with my Predator. It gave me three codes but they do not come up in the DTC lookup on this site. It gave me the codes Nd024, Ne106, and Nd000. I thought they were supposed to start with a P with four numerals that follow. My truck has run great all week until it snowed last night and it was doing a little bucking on the way home. I checked my air box yesterday and it seemed like some moisture was getting through the filter because I can see water spots on the lid on the inside.
