I was wondering what effect a turbo master would have on a completely stock truck like mine. Set any codes? Cause trouble? I am going to get gauges in a little bit, and I would deffinately like to make one, but I just need some final input on the pros and cons of the turbo master.

Thanks, Jacob

i made my own tm, i did so after i did the 4 inch exhaust. and after getting gauges. what effect it would have on a stock truck i dunno. i do know my wife followed me one day and she said she could see black smoke when i started off the line and occasionally when i booted it on a road. anyhow one day i thought i'd try it and got parts needed to make a tm. so after i did it i had my wife follow and she said i don't know what you did but there is no black smoke. so if black smoke is lost power, well i'd assume i have more power. doesn't really feel like it though. word is tm keeps egt's down by holding boost longer and more consistently. i'd get the 4 inch exhaust as a 1st mod. it's a kick in the pants you can feel. it might set codes if you run boost to high, might also grenade the motor. it'll also allow you to buy the shorter belt and delete the vacuum pump... Should be safe setting a TM for 7-10 psi max boost, you may set a boost out of range code if it does back off for lower boost setting, or make a fooler so it doesn't code, if vac system is operational, use the fooler only build or buy one Kennedy's is a plug & play unit, works fine on a mostly stock truck, it keeps the PCM from clipping boost too soon, plus it allows PCM to clip boost if needed. Mechanical fooling only allows for defuel/min fuel protection

So you are sayinga boost fooler is better than a TM.
How do you make a fooler?
