FYI - The Dodge Boy dealers are now trying to mislead customers by conveying the message that the Dodge now uses a Allison tranny, when in fact they use an Aisin tranny. They think that since the names sound alike, they can convince buyers that the tranny is the best (Allison), when it is the same re-hashed 727 tranny that was designed for the 1970 PLymouth Duster with slant 6 power plant.

The Asian Sieki looks nor shares anything with the 727.

Allison and Aisin formed a joint venture to supply transmissions in China recently.

Aisin has been around for a long time and have been used in many GM products for years. It's not a bad transmission.

Unless you go into a real truck dealership 90% of the salesman that sell trucks at the Car dealerships don't have any idea of how to sell trucks let alone know a Allison from Aisin.
