What are the top mods to increase fuel economy? Exhaust and intake I assume would be first, but which ones are best? Then these computers for your truck. I'm not looking for MAXIUM POWER on the chips I just want a little extra pep while keeping my full tow capacity and a reliable engine as well as increase fuel economy. Don't think I'll need this "change power on the fly" stuff just a set and go, cause the more gizmo's you give me, the more I'll play with them. Also about these propane kits... Worth my money or no? I was thinking of just having one I can turn on for towing or something heavy to boost economy. Any other suggestions?

what about this exhaust? They claim sound supression which would be kinda nice when we're out camping, I get home late from the drags and would rather not wake the others.

I found this propane kit.

My mileage went up with my Banks 6 gun, and I personally think it's one of the better ones for towing. Nary a worry towing a buttload of junk from georgia to alaska.

With a propane kit, I don't really know how much added economy you'd be getting. You're burning propane along with diesel, just my 2 bits. Don't got one, ain't tried one, take it as what it's worth.

Your fuel mileage, assuming all is right with your diesel's state of tune, is directly proportional to the weight of your right foot! If you push hard your mileage will suffer.

Forget the propane if you are looking for economy- it is just one more tank to fill.

Suggest you install a good performance module and then drive like your grandma does. I added Edge Juice /Attitude and while I haven't noticed any mileage increase I also did not notice any decrease and I will admit to lead footing a lot more than I used to. My rig also tows a lot better now. Suggest intake mods are a lot of dough for little go, exhaust is expensive for small gains too.

I personally set the cruise at 70 and leave life at that. From what I read that's babying it. I save the speed for the buggy's and boats but we all have our ways. I just want maximum economy towing 11,000lbs, don't care about go fast and such, just want a good, reliable, and economical vehicle that'll tow my loads. Any other voices to input?
