Does it make any difference that mine is a california truck?

if you have the EGR yes. It will be like a lly D-MAX and you will need a blocker plate and finger stick IIRC

I don't believe they make a finger stick for the LB7, but if it matters, my 03 that was Cal emissions (EGR and Cat) never threw a code with the delete pipe on. Several friends have them too, and never get a MIL. I would occasionally pop a silent P0401 code, but it never set anything off on the dash and never made a difference in performance.

No you can do what ever you want to the exhaust side of an LB7 and will not get any codes.

1FastMax,

When you put the blocker plate on the EGR, are you throwing codes for it?

nope, now the guy that put it in for me has an lly with a whole egr delete tube and it throws a code for faulty egr system but it doesnt cause any problems

beanerLB7,

Do you have an EGR Blocker plate installed?

That is where the finger stick would come into play if there was one for the LB7.

No codes, although Cali is a different world LOL.

No the LB7 engine will not throw a code. I have been running my 2004 LB7 for 2 years with dual 4 inch miter stacks in it and it has never thrown a code.
