I just got a filler neck and cap from an 85 CUCV M1008 (Basically 1 ton 4x4 with 6.2) that I plan to try and use to duplicate the TF filler neck. I have not vent problems due to my SuperTank so I don't need the funky little bottom thing from TF.
The question is, does the DMax system (LB7) require a special cap for pressure? The guy I got it from was talking to a friend (not sure of knowledge level) about what I told him I was doing and the second hand info is that this neck and cap will not work since it vents to atmosphere. I was under the impression that the DMax tank also vented to atmosphere? Will this work?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I considered LB7 and also Accessories and "HD" before giving up and posting here. Thanks for any help, sorry if it needs to be moved…
