I'd hoped it would be done today, but the wiring for the lights is taking longer than expected. Anyway, here are some in-progress pictures.

Shawn

In this picture the bumper is just hanging loose while the lights are wired in.

Thanks guys. The tail lights are APC LED lights. I ordered them online from Stylin Concepts, but I don't see them on their website anymore. ?????

There are some for sale on eBay now, item number: 120072747441, or cheaper here 170068706525

Answer 1: A whole lot!!! $3795 shipped.
Answer 2: I bought it from a guy on eBay who no longer sells decals. See this thread for more info: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118962&highlight=hood+decals

Those are quite honestly the FIRST set of LED tail lights that look nice, actually better than stock. Up until now, I'd never seen LED lights that actually compliment a truck, they always look s**ty and ricer!

Looks tough, but is it tough? Looking at the metal thickness on the rear bumper, I'm not too impressed. Nor the front looks that heavy duty either. It's almost quite obvious these are mostly for looks.

Maybe I'm wrong. Then again I havent seen these first hand so what do I know.

Those tail lights are the best I've seen too. Called Stylic Concepts to inquire about them, reason they don't have them anymore, he said that APC went out of business. All he knows...

SSonnentag;

Congratulations on your new Road Armors bumpers, your truck looks sharp with them!

I use a Road Armor front bumper on a big lifted gasser, and IMO it is a very well made item with great design.

Even that the material used on it is not very thick, I find it strong enough to withstand heavy whinch use. I guess that the way the steel on it, is rolled and pressed, is what really makes the bumper very strong.

Road Armor uses 1/4" steel for the mounting surfaces and bumper subframe and 3/16" steel for the outer surface. I've seen a couple of trucks after they hit deer and a donkey and the bumpers looked great once the blood was hosed off. I think they'll do.

Yep, and that reminds me, it's just about time for me to renew my license. I'll be installing my radio in the truck soon. I just have to get a few antenna attachment parts.

how heavy are the new bumpers?

The shipping weight was 370 lbs for the front, rear and lighting. I'm guessing the front and rear OEM bumpers combined weigh about 150 lbs.

OK, here are some pics. The name badge still has to be installed on the front bumper, along with a winch, but other than that it's ready to roll.

Thanks, Carlos! That was the goal, function and style with a distinctive look.

I just looked in your garage....that's a nice collection of fun toys you have there. I especially like the long travel single-seat buggy. :)

A Warn 16.5Ti is what I'm planning on. I haven't decided on whether or not I want D-rings as my last truck had them and the banging every time you hit a large bump can get on your nerves after a while.

I may pick up a smaller receiver hitch winch at some point, but I don't have plans to mount a permanent one in the rear.

im also planning on the warn 16.5ti, that is once my ranchhand full replacement comes in...i have a 9.5ti and have been happy with it, had the receiver mount on the front of my 1500, nice to be able to remove it. i just dont think it will be strong enough for my 2500 even with a snatch block.

See, now you have me searching the internet for strong stainless D-rings. I think I'll just carry a pair in my toolbox so I'll have them if I need them.

i think the 3/4" ones are the only ones that will fit in those mounts and i beleive all of which are rated the same. altho i have some warn rings and some no name brand ones i got from 4wps and they seem to look alittle different.
