There's no option for Sirus OEM; there're kits for adding on the factory XM, but GM never offered Sirus as an option.

What you want is an SIR-GM1. Do a google search and you will find lots of companies that sell them. I believe circuit city has them as well.

Its called a direct connect. It plugs into the back of your factory stereo antenna port. Then your factory antenna plugs into it and also the Serius "out" antenna. If the serius is turned on it kills the signal from your am/fm antenna. I have it in mine and the signal is great, no feed back. It was real easy to install also. Let me know if you need help. Also Best Buy sells it for about $30 BUT you have to get antenna adaptors for both the stereo and the direct connect. Look at spending about 50-60 dollars. Serius also has it on their website.

I have the SIR-GM1 in my 07,had the XM but wanted sirius. It is easy to install, comes with the harness if you don't have XM. You will need to route the antenna(included)out to the roof area. I have heard alot of people go out thru the 3rd brake light. Very happy with the system, goes thru the stock radio head just like my XM did. No hardware to see on the dash like the plug and play models of XM and Sirius, is mounted behind the glove box where my XM was mounted.
Hope this helps.

If you have an RDS radio, then all you need is the SIR-GM1 kit. It connects inline with the factory harness. No need for any sort of antenna adapter.

This past weekend I purchased the SRI-GM1 from Circuit City for $89 off the shelf. Pulled out the XM unit behind the glove box and put in the Sirius unit. Went on-line and entered in all the info and came back out to the truck with the unit playing live. Works great. I used the XM antenna cable and the adapter cable that connects from the old XM harness to the Sirius unit.

Awesome! Mine should be here Friday and I'll install it this weekend:ro)
I think I'm going to join up for the lifetime Sirius for $499.99. That's like paying for about 3 years.

I should clarify. RDS radio with "Band" button.
About the antenna adapter, no need to use an FM antenna adapter.

I did not originally have XM, so no factory sat antenna. I used the Sirius antenna in the SIR-GM kit. I understand that if you want to use a factory XM antenna, you need to mod the plug, or buy a separate adapter/jumper.

The factory radio has to be sat ready though doesnt it? (to use the SIR-GM kit)

If it is RDS and has a "band" button, it is sat ready.

My SIR-GM1 worked with the stock 6 disc Bose radio, and with a GM touchscreen NAV unit.
My truck did not come with XM.

I recently installed the SIR-GM1 last weekend into my Tahoe w/TNR and LUX upgrade and overall I'm very pleased. I have however noticed the following:

1. When listening to Sirius at high volumes and changing stations, there is a high pitched whine in the background. Can't pick it up at low volume though.

2. I select a station on Sirius using the presets and then manually tune to another station. I switch to Nav view and when I switch back, the tuner leaves the station I manually tuned to and returns to the preset station.

Anyone seeing either of those issues?
