Hey guys, have any of you experienced diesel fumes in the cab at a stop with the a/c on? The smell that I am experiencing is more like raw diesel fuel and not the exhaust smell. Anybody got this problem or is this normal??? PS. I have changed the fuel filter recently but there are NO leaks. My wife thinks it is my fault. Help!
Thanks
Jason

I had a 2001 DA that had fuel oders. After 3 trips to the dealer they found a small leak on one of the fuel rails.

I had the same smell and it ended up being the fuel injector pump or something of that nature. No injector problems for me, just the pump.

So this is a sign of the injectors going bad? That stinks. Guess I will go to the dealer.

I took mine back 3 times before they found the leak. This truck was one of the 1st 2001 DA's. It went to the shop frequently. I complained about the fuel odor each time. They kept trying to tell me that all diesels smell. I had two DA's. The other one was odor free.

Had the same type of smell and it was a leaking freely fuel injector pump.
My uncle was the one that found the problem for me. It presented weirdly. Extreemly weird.
