i was at my local tire shop today getting the tires rotated and put some 285'sunder the front wheel well. and i seemed like it would fit fine with some trimming but the truck was also on jacks. so what do i have to do to fit 285's? can i just turn up the t-bars or just get the green keys? the most reliable way is the best for me. i dont do off roading. i might hit some slow bumpy roads once and a while. i wont go down anything that scratchs the truck.

Neighbor down the street just bought an '04.5 2500 silverado and had the dealer install 285's. They turned up the torsion bars and did a little trimming on the plastic flair under the bumper. Sure looked better than my new truck with the 245's on.

Take care, Rob

i put 285s on the stock wheels - no torsion bar cranking needed, just a little trim work on the driver's side front wheel well plastic - passenger side fine...
