I just tried to install the diode mod to keep my fogs on with the highbeams. I have a Kennedy harness that already keeps the lows on with the high beams.

I put the diode from 85 on the fog relay to 85 on the highbeam relay. Lights were great. Highs and fogs went on together and the low beams stayed on. The only problem is, I lost my cruise control. Pulled the diode, cruise worked great.

Put the diode back in, double and triple checking to make sure I put it in correctly. Lost cruise control again. Pulled the diode, cruise works again.

Anybody else have the problem or know a fix?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know what a Kennedy harness is, nor your 85 diode. I simply got a relay and wired it in. I selected a good hot source, not from the circuit board, installed a 20A in-line fuse and activated the relay with the hot side of the high beam cricuit. I sent power to the fog lights as I saw little difference sending it to the low beams. So; with low beams the fogs are optional, with the high beams the fogs are on. They are all Sylvania Silverstars. Lots of light!

Thanks. Where did you tap into the fog lights?
