EGT I set at 1200*,
You can't be running level 3 with the egt set at 1200 because the cab would look like a discotech with the red light flashing constantly inside :o: . Don't know about the rest of you guy's but I can hit 1400 just by staring hard at the go pedal on level 3  . My egt is et for 1350 and all other settings are set to +10% of the monitored levels while pulling a 10K trailer @ 70 mph on a flat road. Figured that was a good baseline.

How hard have you pushed it on level 3??? I can hit over 1400 on 3 empty just by mashing it to the floor. Guess I gotta call edge now.

Back on topic...It depends how hard you want to push your truck or how conservative you want to drive it. Like I said I had a friend write down the normal operating values while pulling a trailer with a track hoe and some other equip. and just added 10% for safety. I am sure in the summer time I will have to reset the values as it gets hot. Just play with the settings for a while and you will see what is normal and what is high. Every truck responds to towing/driving differently so besides the max gm spec limits it is up to you.

Well, I havent been at WOT yet on 3 cause I am scared of the tranny. Put edge tells you throttle posistion and I did about 80 percent throttle.

What manifold did you tap your pyro on? or did you do a post turbo? If you mounted on the left manifold it could be getting a little hot do to the kink in the stocker for the steering column, I wouldn't think it would get that hot only being on 3 but I also don't have an edge/evo. You might want to look into getting a BD Manifold, it lowered my EGTs.

Passenger manifold, hoot method drill and tap. I have been in constant contact and working with edge and they are quick to contact me and are really trying hard and now tell me that the test lbz they have will hit 1400 also. For a few seconds it is not that big of a deal but I just don't like seeing it at all. I wasn't expecting EGT's that high with only 85 hp added.
I will post my findings with them.

Just set it on 3 and drive around with alot of stop and go the tranny will learn the evo really quick. It will never learn with highway driving, you gotta let it feel the added power to adjust. Romp on it every now and then from a stop 1-2-3 shift and it gets better and better. Then pull up to a ricer at a light, let him rev his fart can while you drop it in 4HI, hold the brake and get the rpm's up to 1500, and when the light turns green leave him sitting there with a big WTF look on his face  :D .
Seriously...if you teach it, it will learn!!!

I also can smoke past 1350 by looking at the go pedal in level 3 and even sometimes in Level 2 if I got a decent load. Edge has got to get the Boost up a bit on Level 3 to control the EGTs because I have stopped using Level 3 because it is just too easy to get too hot.

I set the EGTs at 1350. Everything else just like "gmcya" said. Look at your records and set everything a tad higher than that then you know when something becomes abnormal and needs your attention.

EGT set at 1350 also. Friday, level 3, interstate, floored it, 1430 degrees,127 mph  , (chick in the beamer was cute;) ) still had some go pedal left:cool: .
Sat. set to level 2 (tow...or so they call it),10-12K lbs on the trailer, passing a 6.0 psd pulling 4 4wheelers, :p: hit the egt alert and backed off.
I have a 4" exhaust straight piped. Need more boost. Email to edge sent. Waiting.........
