Been looking to upgrade my sound system to add some more bass to my bone stock 2001 Sierra CC. I looked into replacing all speakers and adding an amp, however it seems futile since I am set on retaining my factory HU. So I looked at this as another option:

I'm wondering if this will add a respectable amount of bass when I stuff a Infinity 8 (200rms) in it. The stock setup nearly has enough bass for me, but with too much distortion. I listen mostly to rock, alternative, etc. Not really into rattling the mirrors off anymore, however, I would like a decent thump.

I've looked at MTX thunderform, Subthump, etc., and I think that they may be more than I'm looking for.

Anybody have one of these, and how does it sound? I already ripped out the tape player to mount my sirius there, and the rear vents are good for nothing besides freezing/cooking my armpit.
