Can anyone help, yesterday i was pulling with my duramax and I tripped the service engine light on. I have the predator tuner I was on the 40tow tune setting. I connected the tuner and the code it gives me is p10700 tcm malfunction but that is all it will tell me. I have tried to clear the code with the tuner and by disconnecting the batterys but It seems to always come on within a few seconds. The truck drives and runs as normal so can anyone help with what i can do? Thanks in advance

Go find a real scanner and check for codes. See what other codes come up (must be more) then clear them. if they won't clear, remove your program and see if it clears, if not then you have a definate problem.

That code P0700 in the ECM is to tell you that there are codes stored in the TCM. You'll need either a Quad tuner or AutoTap ,Tech II or equivalent to read them.

the same day i posted that, i put my truck back to stock settings and drove it about ten miles and the light went off by itself and has also been shifting fine. I am thinking about buying a scanner but i dont want to spend alot of dough. how much are they?
